Be watchful, Young one of the untamed mouthFor it can hurt you in many ways.
In ways you can understand,
In ways unfathomable too.
Words that could slay the mighty Leviathan,
Words that fell the Walls of Jericho.
Of curses and swears,
Of comments and scares.
But I say unto you,
That every idle word that men shall speak,
they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
-Matthew 12:36
So watch your words and keep them leashed,
Tame the wild beast, and let it sleep.
For God so hears, every claim you make,
The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.
-Matthew 12:37
Neither present your members unto sin as instruments of unrighteousness;
But present yourselves unto God,
as alive from the dead,
And your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
-Romans 6:13
Therefore, I urge you, brothers,
in view of God's mercy,
to offer your bodies as living sacrifices,
holy and pleasing to God
—this is your spiritual act of worship.
-Romans 12:1
God bless the souls of those who learn,
The fruits of the spirit will be laid on them.
Of love and joy,
Of peace and patience.
Of kindness and goodness,
Of faithfulness and gentleness.
And of self-control, that gives power over temptations,
Over the relentless attacks of the Evil One.
Be watchful, Young one of the untamed mouth
For it brings to one a brighter day,
Or yet, another disastrous day.
God bless Your soul,
Your Faithful son.
