Why do every young one in church have to do Masterlife everyday? What is the true purpose of it??Was popped this question during cell.. Felt that e answer I gave was quite comprehensive.. One of e few times when I do say the right thing at the right time.. Issit Holy Spirit's work?? Surely hope so...
Masterlife's a form of discipleship where one gets to learn more about God's commandments and the main reason behind our belief.. That is our relationship with God.. It is through this relationship that we were saved, and thus I would pose a question to you.. Would you want to know more about someone who loves you and is always right beside you, in times of joy and sorrow? God has plans for us.. Good plans to make us prosper, not in the ways of the world, but in riches and treasures that can be brought forward into heaven.. Would you want to know more about Him, and be willing to hear Him day by day?? When you want to make a commitment, you will want to spend time to know more about God's character.. Masterlife teaches God's character in this case, and it also provides practical living and insight to how we solve problems the Jesus way..
This knowledge that is found in this book cannot be taught within one sermon or even a couple.. This information has to be slowly digested, slowly internalized as we ponder on it day by day.. I would boldly say that not many people will make it a point to revisit the notes that he/she copies during sermons unless needed.. If it is taught in one sermon, I do strongly believe that it will not have much of an impact on us as much as us reading up everyday.. Now, why everyday?? Take this as a form of training.. Ponder on God's words everyday and talk to God everyday.. First we'll find it probably tough and tiring, but as the weeks go by, as we move further and further into the book, one'll realise that it aint that hard at all.. This method of teaching us allows us to continually, and habitually speak and listen to God..
Why everyone has to do it?? Now I ask you, if your leader tells you to do this, and tells another that he dun have to do it, wat would your first reaction be?? "He's stronger in God that me??","What?? I need to do this and he dun need?? No fair!!".. This relationship with God is personal and does not need a competitive force to drive us to work harder.. What I'll learn from this book is also different from what you learn from this book.. Do not build your relationship with God on other's experiences.. This is what I learnt.. The church's doing us a favour by asking everyone to do this together, as it brings about a common goal where we all will be able to celebrate for after 12 weeks.. So be thankful if you were either forced, bribed, or coerced to do this by your friendly leaders..
Why 12 weeks?? Good question.. But maybe you should ask God why 7 days in a week first...
All in all, I pray that everyone who's been faithful in following the "Masterlife" book daily, while at the same time continuing in their Bible Reading Plan while not forgetting their daily quiet times too.. Be wary to not mistake the book for the bible, for the bible holds that Final authority of God's words.. May The Lord see our faithfulness and bless us after this 12 weeks with the changes that we'll go thru and may we never be the same as before again.. Let us remain focused on Him.. May the 12 weeks come by like a breeze as we enter this new season of change..
The Lord is a lamp on my feet.
He shines the path ahead of me,
and guides me to the goal He has planned.
He is the pillar I draw strength from,
the One I lean on when I fall.
The cloud that provides me with solace,
the fire that saved my cold-stricken heart.
His love is poured out on all,
His love is unrestrictive to all.
Now that you know of His sacrifice,
His desire for you to come to Him.
Can you feel His love for you?
